I went to Jury Selection today! I have not been ultimately selected to serve because the trial will not be taking place. The defendants have either plead guilty or made a plea bargain. But may I say that it is not at all like the american system is portrayed on TV. More on this in the next blog. I've written something, but I don't have time to post right now.

I am a shmuck! Shmuck a duck! Rants aside,

Went to see Supersize me last night with Barb & Michelle. Great film, so funny and disgusting and deranged. I have sworn off fast food for 1 year. This does not include sushi of course. Now the movie also suggests that we eat out way too often, and of course they are right, but most humans are way too tired to cook after a long day at work.

THe work day is getting longer and longer, and pay isn't getting any better. So everyone works and then no one feels like cooking. But we can afford to eat out, so we do. But the eating out is one of the expenses that we work the second job for right?

The vicious sushi circle continues...

It really was a great weekend. This was the most fun weekend I've had in months or maybe longer. It's all thanks to Lisha, Baby J, Barb and Natasha & Jason.

Chris is avoiding me, I fear that he may have come down with a late onset case of PID. While sometimes fatal in women, this affliction in men is merely annoying with a healthy dose of burning piss. Perhaps the next time he goes to the bathroom it won't burn so much and he can call me at home, but then again, probably not.

Barb has Toby in town to play with so she's no longer as much fun as she was. Toby is in town from a far away place in the East, near Kowloon, and will be missed once he departs again. But I have a feeling Barb will make an effort to see him again soon. We may never know...

David is becoming a hermit. He has recently acquired the mineral rights to a small plot on the bow river. While no one has ever found gold up in that area it will likely be a friend free zone and he won't have to worry about why he never calls. There are no phones up in that neck of the woods.

I'm going for sushi with Michelle this evening, I need some raw fish injected into my blood stream, with a wasabi-soy sauce chaser!!

It has been another long hiatus from blogging. I just need to get more sleep and then I will have the energy to blog once every day or 2 days. My grass allergy is really kicking into high gear. This means that my eyes hurt all the time and I wish I could keep them closed, and of course my nose runs and runs and runs.

But enough whining...

Natasha's & Jason's wedding was absolutely wonderful. What a terrific time I had! I can barely contain myself when I think about it. Joy overflows whenever I think of their union or the wedding. That was the best wedding I have been to in about 15 years. Really, could any of the people involved have done any better? I think they could not have, they gave it their all. Only 1 problem, I got drunk and lost my cell phone.

I have recently watched the flames lose while at the same time finishing a book called Perfume by Suskind. Now the Flames loss was devastating but the book was riveting. A definite read and a quick one too. It chronicles the life of a real strange French fellow. A parfumer by trade, he has no smell of his own. Very strange, but very good.

Wow, It has been too long since my last post. I feel like I'm all worn out. Let's see, there was a week of work, followed by a week of party, followed by two days of work, followed by whatever happens tomorrow.

Yowza indeed!! Work is nice, since I am able to sleep in my own bed each night after a hard day of caulking (or is that cock-ing? One may never know) and sawing. Working just off 17th avenue at a nursing home renovating the suites 3 at a time. 65 in total and they've finished 2 floors already. I am at least working at home. I cannot describe how nice it is to come home and shower where all your clothes are. Indescribable.

Vegas was awe inspiring and a terrific trip. Muchos Grazias to Chris and Michelle for the good times and special thanks to the casinos for all the money they took from me. Especially the Golden Nugget, a place I will never visit again. Harrahs will not be my next accomodation in Vegas. I will either choose somewhere cheaper with the same amenities or a much more expensive joint like the Bellagio/Mirage with a free pair of tits in every room. A couple funny stories to tell but I am so exhausted right now that I will tell them another day.

My heartfelt thoughts go out to Mr. Poker, and I hope he can manage while I'm away for the weekend. It is hard to carry on without a Chester Pines in your life.
