I had so much fun on Boxing Day, far more fun than I usually have around Christmas. It sure was a good time, and it's too bad you missed it. Do you know the order of the salt, lime and tequila when having a shot of tequila? I do, but I didn't know the question was for me... and I've never had so many problems speaking before. Elton John, it should have been the game winner, but no, Mr. R says the question is too easy. We end up having to call it a draw when all of us are too tired to roll the die.

So much fun, I think I'll do it again next year, and on New Years, and maybe at my birthday party too.

Flatulence begets a great many people. But I am a bit confuszled, is it meat or vegetables that cause the most flatulent emissions? I ask because cows fart all the time, but my father says that meat causes plenty of gas in humans. No one attributes farts to Mountain lions, and they are strict carnivores. This is definitely food for thought, and please tell me if you have an opinion on the subject.

You are the Oracle-
You are The Oracle, from "The Matrix."
Wise, kind, honest- is there anything slightly
negative about you? You are genuinely
supportive of others. Careful not to let people
take advantage of you, though.

Returned from Las Vegas on Thursday. It was really terrific, better than that even. Now, it's not New Orleans but it's damn close. I would definitely go back, but I would prefer to go with friends who are willing to gamble at the tables. I didn't have as much fun playing poker with a table full of strangers than I normally do at Friday night sessions with SCUM.

I did end up ahead on the trip. I won 100 at the roulette table and lost 50 at another roulette table. I won 5 at the poker table and then lost 15 at another poker table. And the always unlucky video gambling, I lost 20 on that! But the drinks were free (triples in short glasses) and the food was pretty good (if expensive, no comps there).

The Belaggio light and water show was spectacular, so tremendous that I had to see it twice to get the full effect and beauty. You must see this if you go to Vegas, especially if you love the way water moves. I can barley describe the feeling that I have towards this show. Awestruck is part of the feeling, and in general, changed. No, I haven't been drinking, but I have been searching my soul. I am getting closer to where I must be and you will all know when I arrive.

I'm musing here, so only read on if you feel like getting a fresh take on life, or an approximation of life.

I saw the Last Samurai last evening. What an amazing picture, but it wasn't the battle scenes that struck me. Sure, it is amazing to see 500 men with swords defeat 1000 men with guns! What really made me watch interestedly was the social commentary. The below statement can best be thought of in the context of the last samurai.

The world, or at least the western world, can be roughly divided into 2 groups; those who would die for a cause and those who would not.

Perhaps you should ask yourself, what category do you fall in, and what exactly would you be willing to die for. And further, ask yourself if most, or all, or none of your principles are flexible, fungible, or fluid.
